The South Asia External Communications (SAREC) Team of the World Bank Dhaka Office is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective communications and outreach strategies in order to raise awareness and understanding about the World Bank and the development issues it addresses at the country level.

This is a country office position in World Bank, Dhaka,  Bangladesh subject to local recruitment under the Bangladesh compensation plan. Position/Post Name:      

Communications Associate

Educational Qualification: 

Ø  Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Public Relations/Affairs, Marketing, Journalism or any other related field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Job Requirements: 

v>  This is a 2-year Term position.  The period for the position may be extended after the 2 years depending on the performance of the candidate and business needs.

v> Excellent computer skills; ability to use standard Bank technology packages, e.g., Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet, Excel, etc.

v>  Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English and Bangla. Spoken and written fluency required in English and Bangla. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to take an English language writing test.
